In the mid 90's he wrote a wild edible column for Hoosier Sportsman. Bud had a keen interest in nature all his life and was a self-taught beekeeper and computer manipulator. Part of foraging for wild edibles is being outdoors and enjoying nature rather than being in a crowded supermarket and being alone even though there are hundreds of people around you.
