Book excerpt: This catalog is intended to help teachers, curriculum supervisors, members of ethnic organizations, and others interested in multiethnic education become aware of and more effectively use the products of the Ethnic Heritage Studies Program (Title IX, ESEA). The catalog contains in-depth descriptions of the ethnic studies projects funded from 1974 through 1977, along with descriptions of the materials developed by the projects. The kinds of information provided for each entry include: project title and address, the project director, the ethnic group or groups on which the project focused, the audience and grade level for the project, the project's subject (curricular) area, the format of materials developed (i.e., print or nonprint), the amount of funding, the titles of materials developed, and availability information for each piece of material. Indexes by ethnic group, geographic area, subject area, and titles of materials are provided. The catalog also contains very brief descriptions of Title IX ethnic studies projects funded in 1978 and 1979. (Author/RM)
