Although their names have been changed these are real women with real lives and real experiences. The use of the journey metaphor was a natural result of listening to these women recounting anecdotes about their lives as female entrepreneurs. For centuries we have used metaphors to tell stories, to create visual explanations. In Her Journey the metaphor of a journey describes entrepreneurship in terms of the patterns observed at the outset of the entrepreneurial journey, en route, and at the probable termination of the journey.
