Sometimes there is a name, place or year that is noted but often it's difficult to decipher. But for me that isn't a defect. On the contrary, it provides space for stories to arise in the mind of the viewer. The pictures tell of people and their relationships and when we look at the photos we are all of a sudden on a journey into an unfinished and unending past that has become present again. And because we can never know the circumstances of the photo, every one of our stories and explanations is as valid as any other."
