He brings the pen back to life with fresh ink and he names him Inky Blue. When nervous Inky Blue splutters ink and when he talks he stutters. He is introduced to Edwood, a number two pencil and Chopper, a grumpy pencil sharpener and they become known as The Pen Pals. They all live happily together in a pencil tin until a nasty computer called Ibum gets delivered to the house. A local army of crayons gets to hear about the trouble they are having and they are soon on the way to lend a hand.
