In 1681 one shilling was paid for an hour glass. The record does not tell when the meeting house was removed from the Burial Hill to what is now Franklin Street. It was probably removed be tween the years 1697 and 1701. It was enlarged at different times, and used there until the erection of the present Stone Church in 1824.
