That is, of the Ten Commandments of God. 131 M. What rule of life has God given to ns ? C. His Law. 132 M. What does that contain ? C. It is divided into two parts: The first contains four commandments, and the other six. Thus the whole law is summed up in ten commandments. 133 M. Who is the author of this division ? C. God himself, who delivered it to Moses written on two tables; and it is often declared to be comprised in ten commandments.* 134 M. What is the subject of the first table ? C. It treats of the duties of religion towards God. 135 M. What is the subject of the second table ? C. Our duties to men, and our conduct towards them. 136 M. Which is the first commandment? C.
