Executive functions (EFs) are set of cognitive processes for the cognitive control of behavior. Objectives The aim was to evaluate whether CCT and WBC used combined (EG2) are more effective than CTT (EG1).Methods 79 seniors were included (F/M:62/17; mean age:70.84; mean MoCA:24,47. EG1 intervention (CCT): n=32, F/M:24/8; mean age:71.12; mean MoCA: 4.68, EG2 (WBC/CCT): n=27, F/M:23/4; mean age:71.11; mean MoCA:24.92; CG: n=20, F/M:15/5; mean age: 0,84; mean MoCA:23,5. EG1/EG2/CG were homogeneous in T1. Cognitive functioning (MoCa). CCT: 9 session x week x 90 min., home tasks.Neuropsychological assessments (SCWIT (W,CW), phonemic fluency (F,K) , ACE-III, MoCA) were performed in T1/T2.Results / conclusionThe interventions in T1/T2 showed the significant changes in EFs in both groups separately (EG1/EG2). The Analysis of ANOVA showed the significant changes T1-T2 in EG1 i EG2 in all tests. The results have improved, but no significant differences in comparison with CG in all tests, excepting phonemic fluency, where the difference in improvement is significant in comparison with CG/ EEG1 (p = 0.011). Individual changes in T2 showed that 40.7% participants improved: MoCA (u22652 points) (EG1:32%; EG2:51.8%, CG:10%), 25% in interference effect (SCWIT) (EG1:28.1%; EG2:22.2%, CG:20%), psychomotor speed (SCWIT A) (EG1:15,6%; EG2:37%, CG: 0%), 25.4% in phonemic fluency (EG1:21.8%; EG2:29.9%, CG:10%).The results of the study suggest the positive effects of non-pharmacological intervention (CCT/WBC) on EFs elderly from both inteventions (psychological/ biological). Positive effects after combining both methods were observed in the assessment of individual changes.Executive functions (EFs): conceptual thinking, categorizations, inhibition of conflict instructions, phonemic fluency.
