Book excerpt: The Alliance was a three year project with four major goals: restructure the clinical component of the teacher preparation program of the UNF College of Education and Human Services into four phases: early field experiences, preinternship experiences, internship experiences and beginning teacher; improve clinical teacher training, particularly for urban schools; reduce attrition rate in the first five years of new teacher practice; and, institutionalize new teacher training components that prove effective.
