A coach who is perceived effective has student-athletes who are more satisfied and have a higher level of intrinsic motivation, it is important to be an effective coach. Every student-athlete should have the opportunity to have a positive experience at the intercollegiate level. By identifying these traits, coaches can work on self-improvement and athletic directors’ can identify good coaches.
