Book excerpt: Syabean is one of the fast growing item in the world trade. It contains 41% protein and 21% oil. Research on soyabean in Sudan began in the early 70, s with the intoduction of various varietes from U.S.A.Rhizobium japonicum was not deteced in Sudan soils. Inoculant was introduced from U.S.A. The objectives of this reseach are1/Too investigate the influence of inoculation on nodulation, nitrogen fixation of the soyabean plant and protein content of soyabean seed.2/To examine the effect of N and P fertilization on nodulation, N-fixation and soyabean yield. The results showed that1/The intoduced peat inoculant resluted in good nodulation and N-fixato 2/Significantly higher shoot dry matter, total N-uptake, 100 seed weight, seed yield and total crued protein were obtained from seed inoculation in comparison with uninoculated one
