This book comprises six units which start from Hello World to Daily Routines. It can be used for 12 until 14 meetings in a semester. Furthermore, each unit can be taught for 2 until 3 meetings. It is because each unit comprises many sub-units including objectives, reading, vocabulary, grammar focus, writing, exercise, and speaking. This book is designed to be more practical rather than theoretical. There are several reading texts for each unit. The reading texts have been adapted to Indonesian culture and norms. There are also many exercises to deepen students’ knowledge and skills. Useful phrases, meaningful words, and grammar focus are provided to maximize students’ language input. In addition, writing and speaking are available to train students’ productive skills. Finally, the author hopes that this book can bring many advantages for lecturers and students especially.
