The 192nd Tank Battalion did not wholly come from the state of Kentucky, although the unit was based there before deploying to the Philippines. (One company was from Janesville, Wisconsin; another was from Maywood, Illinois, and a third was from Port Clinton, Ohio. Only one company came from Kentucky, and this was transferred to the 194th Tank Battalion before the war).
