The catalog is a collaboration between the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture (MIAC), the IAIA Museum of Contemporary Native Art (MoCNA), and the New Mexico Museum of Art (NMMOA) in Santa Fe, New Mexico and is based upon exhibitions of Lloyd Kiva New's work shown by the three institutions. The MIAC exhibition is entitled: A New Century: The Life and Legacy of Cherokee Artist and Educator Lloyd Kiva New ; the title of the IAIA MoCNA exhibition is: Lloyd Kiva New: Art, Design, and Influence; and the NMOA exhibition is entitled: Finding a Contemporary Voice: The Legacy of Lloyd Kiva New and IAIA.
