The Opinions Relative to the Integration of Students with Disabilities (ORI) scale (Larrivee and Antonak, 1993) was mailed to 621 Minnesota public high school teachers who have never held a special education certificate. Overall results show that rural teachers have a more negative attitude toward inclusive education than do non-rural teachers, and that teachers with a master's degree have a more positive attitude than do teachers with only a bachelor's degree.
