Book excerpt: We started Mystic Guitar as an online shop in Old Mystic, Connecticut in December of 2013. Our intent was to seek out the unusual, the unique, the hard to find or the just plain cool! Not just guitars, but banjos, ukuleles, mandolins, dulcimers, pretty much anything with strings. We travelled all over New England, always on the lookout for sensational and sometimes bizarre instruments that many times have an incredible story to tell. In this book I have selected a few of the hundreds of instruments we have sold at Mystic Guitar over the years. All of them have a story to tell but unfortunately many of their stories are lost forever in the fog of the past. Read the stories and look at the pictures...
