Book excerpt: One of of five photograph albums curated by Robert Blackwell during the period of his incumbency as the Rector of Amberley Holy Trinity Church from 1836 until his death in 1872. This photograph album features the clerics who preached at Holy Trinity during the period of his incumbency. These appear to have been added to record their visit to Amberley and in some cases the label mentions the text preached. There are many instances of clerics who visited many times having a photo taken for each occasion. This book was created using digital copies of the 'carte-de-visite' sized photographs in the album, many of which have needed to be digitally ‘cleaned’ to aid reproduction.
