His girfriend, Teresa, is a nurse and chose to stay behind to help people in the wake of the hurricane. Once they've excaped and the true brunt of the devastation is known, Renna must make a choice to try to go back to save Teresa or live in relative safety. He decides to go back with Jasmine, clinging to the hope that Teresa is still alive but his journey will test the limits of what it means to survive and Renna isn't prepared for the desperation and devastation that await them in the city he called home.
