Book excerpt: In many times of my life, I have felt like one of Jesus' followers, the one like Mary who sat at Jesus' feet and listened to his teaching, and Jeremiah, the weeping prophet who prayed for the nation, community, and families. Scriptures in the Bible are like food to me. I can't get enough, and I look for many scriptures that speak to the depth of my heart - always falling in love with more than one, but having the special one come back to me over and over again. My two children are more forgiving when I need grace and are also the ones who hold me up when I need encouragement. I have never wanted to be more than a wife and a mother, because it would be a great accomplishment to hear my children when they are grown to rise up and call me blessed. For many years, this has been my job, and I have taken it seriously. This job is needed for Christian woman to raise men and women to change the future, because they love God with all their hearts. There is no greater honor.
